On Safari

If you are using Safari on your mobile phone for your web browser, you may want to know about shortcuts to speed up your iPhone browsing.

Have you scrolled way down a page but decided you wanted to go back to the top? Instead of scrolling all the way up try this. Tap the title bar at the very top of the screen. If the address bar is minimized, tap twice. Once to maximize and once to jump up.

If you come across an image on a website you are browsing on and want to copy to the clip board, try this. First, touch and hold down the image. Choose to save or copy it from the menu.

Flash back and forward in history. This is really cool. If you have tapped on several links and want to go back to a previous page, instead of tapping the back button do this. Touch and hold down on the back arrow button at the bottom left to pull up the history list of pages you visited. Tap the page you want to jump back to. To go forward, touch and hold down the forward arrow button left to pull up the history list of pages you visited. Next, tap the page you want to forward to.

Want to bookmark a page? So you land on a page you really like, you can do this. Touch and hold down on the bookmark button at the bottom center to bring up the bookmark menu. The icon looks like an open book. Tap add a bookmark or add to reading list, or add to shared links.

Restore a tab. If you close a tab by mistake do this. Tap the tabs button at the bottom right. Touch and hold down the plus button to bring up a list of recently closed tabs. Tap the tab you want to restore.

I hope these tips speed up your mobile web browsing to a new level.
