We just celebrated Father’s day and I wanted to remind the guys about their health, during June, which is men’s health month.
Here are a few reminders for the men in our life.
Get regular medical checkups and preventive screenings for cancers, specifically prostate, colorectal, lung and skin cancers. Use sunscreen. Studies show fewer that 15% of men use sunscreen when they are going to be outside for more than an hour.
Watch for signs and symptoms of heart disease such as chest pain, shortness of breath, extreme fatigue and irregular heartbeat. Seek treatment immediately.
If you smoke, toss out the tobacco products.
Get at least 2 1/2 hours of moderate-intensity aerobic activity each week along with muscle strengthening exercises.
Maintain a healthy weight by eating a diet that includes fruits and vegetables.
Last but not least, find ways to manage your stress by keeping a positive attitude, learn how to relax and spend time with the one you love.
Gotta love your man.
