Gone Phishing

I want to share some basic safety tech tips with you this week. Lets start off with “STOP, THINK, CONNECT”.

Do you know how to spot a scam? Clicking on a bad link in an email or on a social media site can lead to malware, data loss, and identity theft.

What do you need to do? Think before you click. Make sure the link you plan to click is not malicious. Remember the adage. “If it is too good to be true, if probably is”.

Spam in email from cyber criminals try to lure us by thinking our bank or financial institution is trying to contact us to resolve some issue with one of our accounts.

Here us a you-tube video link just over 3 minutes with some reminders to think about. It is called “Avoid phishing scams”.

Keep your guard up. Be safe on line!

STOP, THINK, CONNECT!
