If you are looking for a fun, free outing, may I suggest Marathon Village. It is a great place to park, walk around, and look at some neat places and take some great pics. If you have ever watched American Pickers, their shop, Antique Archaeology is located in suite 130. Lots to see, things you’ve watched them pick on the show are there as well as live music. It is a great fun place to explore!
Marathon Village has everything from antiques and art galleries to jewelry, candy, and coffee shops. Lots to explore and learn, this area is steeped in history. You can find a list of merchants on their website: marathonvillage.com
Be sure to make a stop at The Bang Candy Company, here you can enjoy lunch, coffee, or try one of their homemade marshmallows. Yummy!
I could spend hours in the Island Cowgirl shop looking at their unique, hand crafted jewelry and handmade art work. It is a must! Such neat items, I wanted one of everything. But, I was there shopping for a friend’s birthday. You may know her, LB, Happy Birthday Lisa B! I know she really liked her gift. Love, love this store! I encourage you to plan a visit, you will be so glad you did!
P.S. Don’t forget to take a picture by the iconic I Believe in Nashville Muriel.
