Whites Mercantile, in the 12th South Neighborhood, is a general store for the modern shopper. It has a hip vibe with lots of unique items that are not found in your everyday store.
There are goodies, art, apothecary products, jewelry, clothes, shoes, hats, children and baby items, manscaping, pet items, home decor, stationary, and many, many more things. Too many to list!
The staff is always friendly and eager to help. The more times you circle the store, the more items you will see. Every time we go, we leave with our bags full. We have enjoyed every purchase. We always look forward to our next visit!
The brains behind this cool operation is local singer/ songwriter Holly Williams whose famous dad is Hank Williams Jr. It is also said that her great grandfather owned a mercantile years ago in Louisiana.
You can’t miss this eclectic spot on the corner end of the avenue, it’s a former gas station. Now how cool is that!
There is something for everyone, so stop by and check it out.
