Here are a few FREE Events going on around Nashville this weekend, November 14-16, 2014. If you are on a budget or not, free is always awesome! So check out just a few of the things you and your family can do around town. Get out and enjoy, FREE!

Making Merry
Saturday, November 15th

10:00 am – 6:00 pm

The Making Merry event will kickoff with a parade at 9:30am that will end at Bransford Avenue where the festivities will begin. There will be artisan vendors lining the streets, a kiddie zone, live music and delicious food. Local businesses will be decorated for the holidays. Keep your eye out for Santa, Mrs. Claus and Elsa from Frozen will be making appearances.

Local Fest is a free community event celebrating music, food, brews and artisans. Local bands, farmers, games, food trucks and lots of fun. Come out and enjoy!

Celebrating 200 Years at Downtown Presbyterian Church
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16

DOWNTOWN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

Nashville’s oldest active church, First Presbyterian Church, is celebrating its 200th anniversary with a special service downtown on Sunday, November 16. The service will be held at Downtown Presbyterian Church, where it was previously located before separating and moving in 1955. Both congregations are coming together for a joint worship service to commemorate the anniversary. A reception will follow. Free parking in the lot across the street.

Free Family Festival Day
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16

FRIST CENTER FOR THE VISUAL ARTS

Enjoy a day of creativity and inspiration filled with art-making, live music and exciting performances. Exhibits highlighted during this free family event include “Kandinsky: A Retrospective,” “Helen Pashgian: Light Invisible” and “Sanctity Pictured: The Art of the Dominican and Franciscan Orders in Renaissance Italy.”

This event is NOT FREE!
But it is a Nashville Tradition and is very noteworthy!

Christmas Village is one of the oldest shopping traditions in Nashville. There will be over 250 merchants. There will be toys, clothing, jewelry, household items and more.
This year’s Christmas Village will be from Friday, November 14th through Sunday, November 16th at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds. Tickets are $10 for regular admission

Friday, November 14th – 9:00am to 9:00pm
Saturday, November 15th – 9:00am to 6:00pm
Sunday, November 16th – Noon to 6:00pm
