If I could save time in a bottle, what would it look like? It would be filled with memories.
It kinda looks like the places that we have shopped around this year. The trend it seems, is that the public at large is yearning for the past and memories of a more simple life. This is evident in the repurposed art, designs and antiques from shops in this metropolitan jungle. Amberleaf and White’s Mercantile to name a few.
I got a kick out of seeing Face Book posts this past Christmas where parents gladly bought their teenagers their first record player. Is the next generation tired of the fake, digital processed tunes and longing for a yesteryear musically?
What does the future look like?
I think we are going to keep searching for a more retro way of life. Try to find ways to enjoy it better. When life gets complicated, make it easier. Go out have fun, laugh and share the good times. Our life is like a vapor compared to eternity. Don’t hold your breath. Exhale.
Speaking of fun don’t forget Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve will be here in Nashville with Ryan Seacrest.
The Big Bang Bar located across from the Ryman which is best know for the dueling pianos will be playing from 6 p.m. until 2:30 a.m. and the historic Franklin Theater will be swinging with the Tommy Dorsey Band complete with cabaret seating.
2015 looks to be a good year ahead. Live life to the fullest and pass the black eyed peas.
Happy New Year!
