Foxland Southern Grill

Our next great lunch adventure lead us to the Foxland Southern Grill in Gallatin, Tennessee. We were driving around searching for a great lunch spot, on a cold March day and we wanted to try something new.

The staff greeted us and made us feel right at home. A large fireplace was very inviting to shrug off the chill and the dining area overlooked the water nearby.

The menu looked so interesting it took a few minutes to decide. KB ordered the “Best BLT” which was the best. A blend of honey pepper bacon sandwich with sweet potato fries. LB ordered the “Quiche of the Day” with a salad. For desert we tried an interesting one called “Apple Popcorn”. Oh my gosh. Multiple wows were vocalized repeatedly.

Enjoy the comfortable ambiance of the restored 1830 Southern Mansion overlooking Old Hickory Lake. Featuring main dining and courtyard lake views, wood top tables, original fireplace mantles and door surrounds, reclaimed wood floors and quality craftsmanship. Their bar is a tradition in the making with its unique 1800′s style, copper bar top and a wood beam ceiling cut out of a 200 year old cypress tree from the property.

Foxland Southern Grill features Executive Chef Josh Tomaski’s southern inspired dishes. Chef Josh uses only the finest ingredients available, antibiotic and hormone free beef, sustainable fresh seafood, locally grown fresh vegetables, homemade desserts and dressings.
