Here is a great fun fondue recipe, it is so warm and cozy. A great goody for any party, game, or date night, and a yummy appetizer before Thanksgiving or Christmas Dinner. Hope you will give it a try, I’m sure it will make you smile, Yum!

Holiday Fondue

Ingredients

1 tbsp butter
1 dry shallot, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup white wine
1/3 cup dried cranberries
1 tbsp chopped fresh rosemary or 1 tsp of dried rosemary
1/2 lb Gouda cheese, shredded
1/4 lb Cheddar cheese, shredded
1/4 lb Swiss cheese, shredded
1 tbss corn starch
Freshly ground pepper, to taste

DIRECTIONS
In a fondue pot over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the shallot and garlic for 2 to 3 minutes. If you do not have a fondue pot make in your favorite pan, and serve in your crock pot or warming dish or pan.

Add wine, cranberries and rosemary and simmer about 3 to 4 minutes or until reduced to 1/3. Add shredded cheeses and corn starch. Let melt over low heat, stirring continuously with a wooden spoon. For a more kid-friendly alternative, replace white wine with chicken broth or unsweetened apple juice.

Pepper generously.

Serve at once with different breads, cured meats, vegetables, fruit, nuts, etc.
