Cherry Cobbler is great anytime of the year but I think it has the perfect colors for the Holidays. Warm and red then add a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and voilà you have Christmas in a bowl!
Ingredients:
1 cup of self rising flour
2 teaspoons of cinnamon
1 cup of buttermilk
1/2 cup of sugar
1/4 cup of brown sugar
4 ounces of melted butter (1 stick of butter)
1 tablespoon of sugar and 1 tablespoon of brown sugar (mix together and set aside)
2 cans of cherry pie filling
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Pour your melted butter in a 9×13 pan.
In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar, cinnamon, and buttermilk.
Pour mixture over melted butter in 9 x 13 pan, distributing evenly.
Spoon cherry pie filling over batter.
Sprinkle with the sugar mixture, evenly over the top.
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
