My niece, Kennedy turned me on to drinking hot tea. Now I find it soothing and comforting all year long. So I invited a friend over for tea and wanted something to nibble on but nothing to heavy. Someone shared this recipe with me and can I say, yummy! Wonderful accompaniment to the tea. I hope you will give this a try.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of fresh orange juice
1/2 cup softened butter
1 cup of sugar
3/4 cup sour cream
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. grated orange peel
DIRECTIONS:
Combine the first 2 ingredients and set aside till done baking.
Preheat oven to 375°
Cream butter and sugar.
Stir in sour cream.
Combine dry ingredients.
Mix dry into wet ingredients.
Stir in orange peel.
Batter will be stiff.
Spoon into greased mini muffin pan.
Bake at 375° for 12 minutes or until done.
While still warm, dip each in reserved sugar and orange juice mixture.
Serve warm with a cup of hot tea or coffee.
Happy Baking 😊
