The smell of sweet cinnamon-sugar-coated apples and buttery crust fills the air. Just like grandma’s kitchen. It’s difficult to find anything that makes your heart melt and your tummy feel warm quite like a slice of grandma’s pie. You are in luck, tucked away in the neighborhood of Berry Hill. In a one story pale blue house on Columbine Place, The Loving Pie Company is serving up made-to-order pies, savory or sweet.

The shop opened its doors in October 2012 by way of owner and chef Suzanne Loving. Part of her vision was that The Loving Pie Company would be a full service restaurant with table service and menu options. A place where you can sit down and have coffee, lunch, dinner or dessert.
Some of her lunch or dinner options include veggie pot pie, shepherd’s pie and even a mac-and-cheese pie.

The Loving Pie Company also offers an array of options for both the dessert pie lover and the coffee lover including red velvet chess pie, chocolate pecan pie, apple pie and a variety of coffee drinks.

Lisa and I shared a piece of the red velvet chess pie topped with a scoop of butter pecan ice cream, the smooth red velvet chess pie melted in our mouth. We also had the chicken veggie pot pie, tasty, flaky, buttery, full of chunks of peppered chicken and fresh vegetables. Cozy warm comfort food at it’s best. We are already planning our next trip back.

Try a bacon latte, yes I said bacon! This is a fun, feel good restaurant. With a friendly and accommodating staff. The Loving Pie Company is a treat!
