Today I wanted to share with you one of my favorite places to eat and shop, It is in Grand Rivers Kentucky. Patti’s 1880’s Settlement and Restaurant. I get so excited every time we go, especially in November, this is the time of their Holiday Festival of Lights and Christmas Concert. It is MAGICAL! We have made it a family tradition, and we love it every time. We start with an awesome meal and at dusk the concert begins, then the lighting! This year before they turned on the lights everyone sang, It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, half way through, the lights came on as we sang, absolutely awesome! It kicks off Thanksgiving and Christmas for us. The time for family and friends and being thankful for how blessed we are.

Patti’s 1880’s Restaurant, started as “Hamburger Patti’s Ice Cream Parlor” opened in 1977 with a seating capacity of 20 people. Today they have grown into Patti’s 1880’s Restaurant with seating for over 225. They have become famous for their 2″ thick pork chops, mile-high meringue pies and flower pot bread. Mom always said, “Treat every customer as if they were a guest in your home.” This attitude has helped to bring awards from Southern Living magazine, the State of Kentucky, and the National Small Business Administration. Treat yourself to Southern hospitality and food that will make your mouth water in anticipation. They are open year round and look forward to making your visit an adventure in eating.

Each Year Patti’s 1880’s Settlement is Transformed into a Christmas Wonderland!

Outside eight Hundred thousand Christmas Lights glow and twinkle and Put on a Show for all to Enjoy. While Inside the Restaurants and Gift Stores there are hundreds of trees and garlands loaded with ornaments and lights too!

November 7th is the Beginning of Patti’s Festival of Lights. Patti’s Settlement Festival of Lights will run through the First week of January. The night of November 7th and 14th there will be a special lighting ceremony with Live Performances beginning at Dusk.

If you can make it out to Patti’s I highly suggest it, not only do they have great food and Christmas lights, they have awesome shopping. They have around 6+ shops, I always like shopping at, Ashleigh’s Boutique, their jewelry, clothes, purses and accessories are always beautiful, and their clothes are so gitchy. All their shops are great, be sure to pick up some bread and strawberry butter, yummy.

Lisa B and her husband, my family including my mom, were all just there on November 7. We all had a blast. We laughed, ate, sang, shopped, and were in awe of the lights. They even have snow falling on you as you walk around. It truly is a winter wonderland.

I highly suggest setting some time aside and make this adventure, part of your Holidays!
