Apple Fritter Bread

Oh how I like apples šŸ
I love to bake things that are quick, easy, and have a wow factor. This is a great recipe for brunch or a get together, when you want to wow your family and friends but not spend your day in the kitchen. I hope you will give it a try.

Ingredients:
ā…“ cup light brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
ā…” cup sugar
½ cup butter, softened
2 large eggs
1½ tsp vanilla extract
1½ cups all-purpose flour
1¾ tsp baking powder
½ cup milk
2 apples, peeled and chopped. Mix apples with 2 tbs of sugar and 1 tsp of cinnamon.

FOR THE GLAZE:
½ cup of powdered sugar
2 tbs milk

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Spray your loaf pan with non-stick spray.
Mix brown sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl. Set aside.
In another bowl, beat sugar and butter together using an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
Beat in eggs, one at a time, until blended and add vanilla.
Combine flour and baking powder together in another bowl and slowly add into butter mixture. Stir until blended.
Add milk into batter until smooth.
Pour half the batter into the prepared loaf pan, add half the apple mixture and half the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture.
Lightly fold apple mixture into batter.
Pour the rest of the batter in pan and top with remaining apples and cinnamon sugar.
Lightly fold apples into batter and swirl brown sugar mixture through apples using a knife.
Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center of loaf comes out clean.
Let bread cool for about 10-15 minutes.
To make glaze mix powdered sugar and milk together until smooth. Drizzle over bread serve and enjoy! Try serving a little warm and topping with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, yum!
Happy Baking 😊
