This casserole is so delicious and rich a perfect combination for breakfast. I love waking up to an easy pop in the oven breakfast that lets you enjoy spending time with family and friends. I like to serve with fresh fruit or a fruit salad and a good cup of coffee ☕️
Ingredients
1 pound ground pork sausage
5 ounces of shredded Parmesan cheese
8 ounces of shredded Gruyère cheese
5 large eggs, lightly beaten
6 green onions, diced
3 cups milk
1 cup heavy cream
1 package of 24 mini croissants torn
Vegetable cooking spray
A dash of salt and pepper
Directions
Cook sausage in a skillet over medium-high heat, stirring to crumble.
Stir together sausage, parmesan cheese, diced green onions, salt & pepper and torn croissants.
Place in a 9×13 baking dish coated with cooking spray.
Whisk together milk, cream and lightly beaten eggs, pour over sausage mixture. Cover and chill overnight.
Preheat oven to 350°
Uncover casserole, and sprinkle with Gruyère cheese.
Bake 45 minutes or until golden brown.
Let stand 10 minutes and serve.
