Five & Tenn’s Holiday Preview Party

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 6

Celebrate the season with light bites, live music and shopping at Five & Tenn, located inside the Omni Nashville Hotel. Crafts & Drafts

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 8

NASHVILLE FARMERS’ MARKET

Crafts & Drafts is a free event showcasing more than 70 craft vendors. Local craft beer vendors will be on-site as well so you can sip as you shop. Plus, numerous food options will be available for purchase.

TENNESSEE STATE MUSEUM

Enjoy a screening of “40 Years on The Farm,” a film detailing life at a communal settlement in Middle Tennessee that gained popularity during the 1970s. A presentation and book signing with the film’s assistant producer Douglas Stevenson will follow. The event is held in conjunction with the museum’s current exhibit “Tennessee’s Intentional Communities: Examining the Farm, Nashoba, Rugby and Ruskin,” a look at four unique social living experiments that existed in the state over the past 180 years.

4th Annual Mayor’s Challenge 5K Walk/Run

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 9

Noon-4:00 pm
PUBLIC SQUARE

Join Mayor Karl Dean for his fourth annual 5K. Everyone is welcome to participate, regardless of age or fitness level. The race is free, but advanced registration is encouraged. Activities and registration begin at noon. The Kids’ Fun Run (ages 12 and younger, .75 miles) begins at 2 pm and the 5K (3.1 miles) begins at 2:15 pm. Participants are encouraged to arrive at least one hour before their start time. Free parking for this event is available in LP Field Lot F. Plus, Nashville MTA will provide free transportation on all buses for participants traveling to and from the 5K event.

Veterans’ Day Tribute Concert

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 9

WAR MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM

The Williamson County Youth Orchestra, a group of more than 100 high school musicians led by conductor Anna Maria Miller, will perform a Veterans’ Day Tribute Concert on Sunday, November 9 at War Memorial Auditorium. Nashville celebrity Harry Chapman will emcee the event. The concert is free and open to the public.

This Event is “FREE to Watch!” If you want to participate there is a fee! I know this is not taking place on the weekend, but thought if you work Downtown you might enjoy watching for free!

The Shatterproof Challenge
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 10

OMNI NASHVILLE HOTEL$25 REGISTRATION FEE PLUS FUNDRAISING ELEMENT; FREE FOR SPECTATORS

Join the Shatterproof Challenge and rappel off the side of the Omni Nashville Hotel to raise awareness and funding for the prevention, treatment and recovery of addiction patients. No
prior rappelling experience necessary. All equipment will be provided and participants will have an expert training session before the event, as well as be guided by experts during the event.

This Event is FREE! This event is also not on the weekend! We love our ❀️Veterans❀️! I know everyone who can make it will want to be apart of this event!

Veterans’ Day Parade

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 11

11:00 am

This annual event is one of the South’s largest Veterans’ Day parades. The family-friendly celebration honors Nashville’s military community and includes floats, antique cars, local military groups and supporters, local businesses and charities, and nearby high schools’ marching bands. The parade begins at 14th Avenue and Broadway and continues down to 3rd Avenue and Broadway. Please note: road closures associated with this event. Rolling road closures along Broadway from 14th Avenue to 3rd Avenue, plus portions of 3rd Avenue and other streets for staging and disbanding. Closures begin as early as 9:30 am and will finish as late as 1 pm.

Free Teeth Whitening with Donation to Second Harvest Food Bank

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 28
DOWNTOWN DENTAL

Downtown Dental is joining the fight against hunger by partnering with the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. During the month of November, bring 25 non-perishable food items to Downtown Dental to receive free custom fit bleaching trays ($350 value). If you already have a tooth whitening kit, bring in 15 non-perishable food items to receive one tube of prescription strength whitening bleach. Hours are Monday – Tuesday, 7 am – 5 pm, Wednesday, 7 am – 4:30 pm and Thursday – Friday, appointments available upon request.
