
Meat and potatoes, how can you go wrong.
If you are looking for a quick easy recipe this is great for any week night meal. You will love this, assemble, pop in the oven, and relax. A warm comforting meal is a major welcome to any family. I hope you will give this a try.
Ingredients:
1 lb Lean Ground Beef
20 Golden Baby Potatoes, sliced thin
4 slices of bacon, cut into thin pieces
1/4 cup Worcestershire Sauce
2 cups Milk
1 cup of Shredded Cheddar
Sliced green onions for topping
1 1/2 tsp Dry Mustard
1 tbs Smoked Paprika
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Kosher Salt
1 tsp Black Pepper
Directions:
Preheat an oven to 400º
Cook the bacon in a 12″ cast iron skillet over medium high heat.
Remove bacon to a bowl to be used as a topping after cooking.
Place ground beef in the skillet.
Add the dry mustard, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
Cook until no pink remains and turn off the heat.
Place cooked ground beef in a bowl.
Line half of the sliced potatoes on the bottom of the skillet cover with the ground beef, top with remaining sliced potatoes
Add the milk to the skillet and top with shredded cheddar.
Bake for 45 minutes or until very little liquid remains and the cheese begins to bubble and slightly brown around the edges.
Top with bacon and green onions.
Let cool 5-10 minutes before serving.
