Pound Cake is well, complete perfection! Butter lots of butter add cream cheese and you get super moist yummy cake. What is so great is this recipe is a blank canvas, and what I mean by that is, you can serve it with almost any fruit, sauce or topping you can think of or serve it slightly warm from the oven, sprinkled with confectionery sugar, you can’t go wrong, it is very versatile. Baking Spray with Flour
3 1/4 cups White Lily Enriched All-Purpose Flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups butter, softened (3 sticks of butter)
1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened
3 cups sugar
6 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
DO NOT PREHEAT OVEN!!
Coat 10-inch Bundt or tube pan with flour no-stick cooking spray.
Combine flour and salt set aside.
Beat butter and cream cheese. Add sugar gradually. Beat until mixture is light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla. Slowly add in flour, beating in between, and using a spatula to scrape down the sides of your bowl if needed.
Spoon batter into prepared pan.
Place in a cold oven. Set oven to 325°.
Bake for 90 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool for 15 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool completely on cooling rack. Serve and enjoy!
