Casseroles are just food perfection! This cheesesteak casserole is so delicious. Easy to put together and fun to serve. If you are looking for something a bit different for dinner, this one is for you. Serve with some good crunchy bread!

Ingredients:

1 pound of ground beef

12 ounces small pasta shells

32 ounces beef stock

32 ounces water

2 tablespoons butter

2  minced garlic cloves

1  small diced green pepper

4 ounces fresh chopped mushrooms

1/2  diced onion

1/2 cup of reserved pasta water

8 ounces softened cream cheese

1 cup mozzarella shredded

8  provolone cheese slices

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350°.

In your favorite pasta pan add beef stock and water, cook the shells, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water.

Cook your ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook through. Drain the grease.

In your skillet melt the butter, cook the garlic clove for about thirty seconds or so, then add the bell pepper and onion, add drained ground beef back to skillet and cook together five minutes. Add cream cream cheese and mix together well.

Stir in the reserved cooking liquid from the noodles. Add cooked noodles, and shredded mozzarella.

Pour mixture in a greased 9×13 pan.

Top with sliced provolone. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until the provolone is completely melted. Cool for five minutes and enjoy.

Happy Baking 😊
